- Thoracic endometriosis lesions can affect the diaphragm, pleura, lung and bronchi. There may be a greater affinity for the right hemi thorax, and the parenchyma is more commonly affected in the lower lobes. Macroscopically, the endometriotic implants appear as brown–yellow and sometimes red nodules
