- A disease caused by an infection with the fungi Blastomyces dermatitidis. This disease is characterised by fever, chills, cough, myalgia, arthralgia, or chest pain. This disease may also present in the skin and bones. Transmission is by inhalation of fungal spores. Confirmation is by identification
